Redbridge Police Community Engagement Group Meeting
Public meeting on
Wednesday 3 December 7pm-9pm
at Hainault Forest Community Centre,

The meeting will hear reports of latest progress from senior
Police & Council representatives, and hear from Mayfield School
students on Stop & Search. Please come along to hear what is
being done to improve community safety in the Borough.

Strategic Planning at RedbridgeCVS AGM
As part of its AGM on the 19 November RedbridgeCVS hosted a Strategic Planning sessions led by Nic Hinrichsen of PlusPeople. Nic provided an overview of Strategic Planning and its importance to voluntary organisations and how it could bolster the work of local groups. This session was also the beginning of RedbridgeCVS’ own process of developing its next Strategic Plan.

Grants for young people
via The Youth Opportunities Fund
Supported by suitable organisations that have a track record of working safely with young people, Groups of young people are encouraged to fill out the simple application form attached
Panels of trained teenagers make the decisions as to which application will be awarded grants. The panels will meet about once a month and look at applications on a first come first served basis
What the panel is looking for:
Ideas that genuinecome from other young people
Ideas that benefit the community or groups who are disadvantaged
Ideas that help young people achieve something positive
Plus support from a suitable organisation

Changes to LEAD Project and East Tenders

Local Area Agreements (LAAs) Agreed by Government
The Local Area Agreements set out the priorities for a local area agreed between central government and a local area (the local authority and Local Strategic Partnership) and other key partners at the local level. LAAs have now been agreed and published.

East London Community Foundation
Please note that London North East Community Foundation has changed its name to East London Community Foundation.
They have a new website which can be found at www.elcf.org.uk The website allows applicants for Sport Relief and other grant programmes to download forms directly. Soon applicants will also be able to complete forms online.
Please also note that ELCF staff have new e-mail addresses, Jessica Wannamaker, Director jlw@eclf.org.uk and Mesha Kullar, Grants Officer mk@elcf.org.uk.
