Redbridge Children and Young People's Network

Redbridge Children and Young People’s Network is working to make Redbridge a “child-friendly borough”.
For further information contact its administrator Laura Thistlethwaite on 020 8553 1004 or via laura@redbridgecvs.net

Vision
"The Children's Network vision is for all children and young people in Redbridge (aged 0–24) to develop their full potential in a child friendly borough by enjoying good health, quality safe play, learning opportunities and support for their development".

Mission
"The Children's Network seeks to make the Borough of Redbridge child friendly to improve the whole environment for children and young people. It will work with partners to raise awareness of what is involved in making Redbridge child friendly and how it can be achieved. The Network will link with children, parents, service providers and funders to shape services ensuring that they reflect the interests of the child".

Aims
The Network will work holistically to:
1 provide a forum where voluntary sector providers of services for children, young people and families can meet and become actively involved in the planning and development of services
2 help voluntary sector groups working with children develop capacity to deliver and improve the quality of services
3 work with children and families to ensure that they are fully consulted and participate in the planning and decision making that affect them
4 work with other agencies in Redbridge, across London and nationally to achieve the best quality of services for children
5 encourage development of research and information, including information from children and families, and make this available widely to help development of services
6 encourage sharing of information and good practice between voluntary and statutory groups working with children
7 ensure awareness of national trends and developments and seek to shape these where appropriate
8 be a key local forum for consultation with voluntary sector groups working with children
9 be a key organisation to represent the voluntary sector working with children
