LAST CHANCE FOR CASH!
A portion of LEAD’s funding will end in March 2007 and until this time your organisation can access funding to pay for your Investors in People and IAG Matrix assessment costs. In certain circumstances we may be able to cover the full cost of your assessment.
If you have previously attended quality assurance training this is your last chance to work towards external assessment and gain your quality assurance kite mark bursary. Organisations that have previously been through this process found it beneficial to their organisation and many have accessed new funding sources. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity.
PQASSO
PQASSO is a self assessment quality assurance kite mark that is recognised by many outside agencies including funders. PQASSO Level 1 verifies that your organisation is meeting the minimum requirements set out in law for voluntary and community groups. If you do not have PQASSO or another quality assurance kite mark you may be sending out the message that you do not meet these requirements.
Over the next few months RedbridgeCVS are offering a limited number of organisations the opportunity to receive intensive one to one support from a registered PQASSO mentor to assist you achieve Level 1. As part of this package you will also receive free training, a PQASSO Workbook and CD Rom. This free service is provided on a first come first served basis.
For more information contact Raj on 020 8514 9629 or email raj@redbridgecvs.net.

Audit Success
RedbridgeCVS has recently undergone an external audit from ASET and has gained the highest Grading in all aspects of our provision. Thank you to the team and learners at Anxiety Care who assisted in the audit.
London Development Agency
RedbridgeCVS in partnership with Barnabas Workshops and Eden College have been invited to submit a full application to the London Development Agency to develop a community IAG service. Successful projects will be announced in the New Year.
CONGRATULATIONS TO:
Young Parents Project who not only achieved the Matrix Quality Assurance Kite mark but secured LSC funding to develop their project.
Congratulations to Andrew Payne and Tricia Brolly from Young Parents Project and Trevor Quinton from Training for Transition who achieved their City & Guilds 7307 Certificate in Teaching Adult Learners.
Redbridge Training Consortium
The recent invitation from RedbridgeCVS to join the Redbridge Training Consortium was welcomed by LEAD members. The large number of successful applications has meant that the number of voluntary and community sector accredited training providers in Redbridge has risen from 3 to 31. The staff team at Redbridge LEAD quickly submitted an application to the accrediting body ASET for a Centre Licence and were informed this week that it had been successful.
The LEAD team also heard that our recent application for NLDC funding to support the work of the Consortium over the next year has been successful. This funding will pay for membership fees of accrediting bodies and ensure that members of the Consortium will have access to relevant qualifications for staff.

Opportunities Fund
The London Development Agency's Opportunities Fund has been designed to encourage and support locally delivered projects which make a real impact on London's economic development. It supports a range of innovative projects designed to help regenerate pockets of deprivation across London. Many of the projects break down barriers to employment for disadvantaged groups and are led by community and voluntary organisations which have both the ambition and local knowledge to make both a significant and sustainable impact. The application process for the fund is an annual event, although the grants may be awarded over a period of up to three years.
