Ross Diamond - Chief Officer (jobshare)

I joined RedbridgeCVS in February 2003 and work in a job-share arrangement with Marcia Samuels who joined soon afterwards. As Chief Officer I aim to help the RedbridgeCVS team build on its strengths and continue to develop its role as supporter and champion of the local voluntary sector - and to help local community and voluntary organisations develop new initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for all who live, work or study in the borough of Redbridge.
"Partnership" is a vital part of all our work, and I hope we can continue to enhance voluntary sector agencies' working relationships with each other, our communities and local statutory partners, such as Redbridge Council and the local NHS.
I have worked in the voluntary sector for the past fifteen years, starting at Crisis, the national charity for the single homeless, and subsequently in a variety of roles in South London, often focusing on supporting the users of all kinds of services (and their carers) to take full roles in the development, provision and monitoring of the services they so often rely on.
I work in the RedbridgeCVS office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. When I am not at work in the voluntary sector I can usually be found in my home borough of Hackney where I am a busy musician, writer and tired Dad.
