Charities and community groups face huge challenges to continue delivering services through the pandemic, and often to meet increased demand. Several local organisations have launched appeals.
Redbridge Foodbank
The Foodbank are running a reduced service. They are appealing for food and cash donations. For more details of the food they need, and to donate money, see their website.
Haven House Children's Hospice
The Hospice estimates that they will lose half a million pounds in income. They have launched an Emergency Appeal. They are also organising a virtual quiz called Ben's Big Night In with TV presenter Ben Shephard on Zoom.
Saint Francis Hospice
The Hospice has had to stop all fundraising, but they have extra costs to keep everyone at the hospice protected. They have launched an appeal to support their nurses.
King George and Queen's Hospitals Charity
Staff at these local hospitals are running short of scrubs, and the charity is fundraising for fabric to buy more - donate here.
If you know of any other local appeals, email Kay and we'll add them to this page.
