EaST: Past Projects

Future Jobs Fund

  • delivered in partnership with the London Borough of Redbridge and 17 employers
  • EaST clientsupported 18-24 year olds and 25+ adults with learning difficulties to complete 6 months of paid employment through the delivery of information, advice and guidance, accredited training and in work support
  • project achieved 115 job starts, 59 completed level 2 qualifications, 87 progressed into other employment and 69 sustained work for 26 weeks.

Stepping Stones

  • supported mainly economically inactive parents, particularly lone parents, aged 20+, from Redbridge, Havering, Tower Hamlets and Hackney, through the provision of a bespoke training programme, Positive Pathways for parents, work experience, jobsearch support and information, advice and guidance delivered in partnership with 2 delivery partners, 4 children centres and Jobcentre Plus
  • provided information advice and guidance to 96 parents, 30 completed work experience, 28 progressed into work, 12 sustained work for 26 weeks and 50 progressed into further learning.

Jobshop Community Outreach Project

  • supported predominantly economically inactive disadvantaged residents of Barking & Dagenham aged 18+ into sustained work or further learning through the delivery ofindividually tailored employability support, information, advice and guidance, job brokerage, functional skills, ESOL, IT, vocational, soft skills training and in work support
  • worked in close partnership with 7 delivery partners, Jobcentre Plus, Supported Housing Providers, the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Regeneration Team and Children Centres in the delivery of services to local residents.

This partnership supported 974 residents into work, with 542 sustaining employment for 6 months and 306 residents progressed into further learning.

Get Working

  • supported disadvantaged, mainly economically inactive, residents of Waltham Forest aged 18+ into sustained work or further learning by delivering 1-1 support, information, advice and guidance, job brokerage, jobsearch, employability training, work placements and in work support to Waltham Forest residents.
  • worked in close partnership with the local authority, 2 delivery partners, 2 housing associations, Jobcentre Plus and the local authority to deliver support to local residents.
  • this partnership supported 191 residents into work, with 119 sustaining employment for 6 months and 53 progressed into further learning.

Lone Parent Support

  • a small project working intensively with 14 women with complex and multiple barriers to employment to move them closer to the labour market. These women accessed 1-1 information, advice and guidance, career planning, skills development and jobsearch support. 3 women progressed into full time work and 4 progressed into further learning or jobsearch.

Women Works

  • provided 1-1 employability support, information, advice and guidance, work experience and pastoral support to economically inactive and unemployed women aged 20+, resident in Newham, Havering, Waltham Forest, Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge, Greenwich and Bexley worked in partnership with Job Centres, children’s centres and 2 delivery partners. 166 women progressed into work and 84 remained in work for at least 26 weeks, 88 progressed into learning.

EaST ClientSkills Support for the Unemployed

  • provided accredited and non-accredited training, job search support and job brokerage to unemployed residents of Barking & Dagenham and Redbridge, aged 19+. Results were 30 qualification outcomes, 28 10 – 29 GLH, 8 30 – 44 GLH, 35 45 – 54 GLH, 14 55 – 64 GLH, 3 65 – 70 GLH, 5 71 – 75 GLH, 3 76+ GLH, 70 Priority Learner Bonuses, 21 jobs and 9 sustained jobs.

Get Redbridge Working

  • provided information, advice and guidance, work experience, 1-1 employability support to pre-dominantly economically inactive residents of Redbridge, aged 18+. Over 50% of the project participants came from the most deprived wards in the borough. Delivered in partnership with the London Borough of Redbridge (Work Redbridge), 1 delivery partner and Jobcentre Plus. 71 people progressed into work and 43 remained in work for at least 26 weeks, 20 progressed into learning.

Women into Work

  • provided 1-1 support, IT, employability and soft skills training, job brokerage and supported job search to women aged 17+ in Waltham Forest, with multiple barriers to employment. Delivered in partnership with Jobcentre Plus, a housing association and a children’s centre. 67 women supported and 24 progressed into work.

Steps into Work

  • provided 1-1 support, IT, employability, job brokerage, work placements and supported jobsearch to disadvantaged residents in Redbridge, delivered in partnership with Jobcentre Plus and the local authority. 50 people supported and 25 progressed into work.
