RedbridgeCVS Statement on Coronavirus, 17 March

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to cause uncertainty, our focus is on the safety of our staff, volunteers, clients and our members. Following the latest Government guidance, we have made several decisions about the best way to protect our team whilst continuing to provide support for the sector.

Our office will be closing from tomorrow, Wednesday 18 March, but all staff will be working from home. The office may be closed but RedbridgeCVS is very much open for business. We are well prepared for this situation and our new IT infrastructure means that we have a mobile workforce that can continue to deliver services from any location through the use of technology.

We fully appreciate that this is going to be a difficult time for all local groups trying to support our vulnerable and at risk residents. Our team will be working closely with you, our funders and our strategic partners to ensure that we can continue to make support and resources available for you at this challenging time.

Our information team will be keeping you updated through our website and by email. You can contact the team on our main telephone number of 020 8553 1004 and your call will be directed to the relevant team member. You can also email us using the following email address: office@redbridgecvs.net

Please note that if your organisation has not yet become a member of RedbridgeCVS, that membership is free,  and you can join by using the online form available on this website which will provide you with access to our support and resources.

We are encouraging all members to keep up to date with the latest Government advice, but you can help reduce the risk to yourself and others by:

  • Washing your hands frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds each time
  • Using hand sanitiser if soap and water isn’t available
  • Avoiding touching your face and eyes
  • And covering your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.

Best wishes

The RedbridgeCVS Team
