Child Exploitation Training for Practitioners

This course is for Designated Leads, managers, who want to deepen an existing knowledge of CSE/CCE and multi-agency frontline practitioners working with affected families and children.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE) and Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE)
  • Understand the current national context of CCE and CSE
  • Recognise offending behaviours, signs and indicators of CCE/CSE  
  • Appreciate the impact that CSE/CCE has on the whole family
  • Explore trauma and the impact it may have on behaviours.
  • Recognise how offenders are using Apps and social media in their abuse of children.  
  • Discuss best practice and share tools of working with affected families and children.
  • Appreciate the use of Pace's relational safeguarding approach for extra-familial abuse.
