Could you be a school governor? Hear from governors, meet schools

Tuesday, 13 November, 2018 - 18:00 to 20:00

Redbridge schools need skilled school governors. Can you help?

School governors are volunteers who help run the school, usually as part of a group of governors. They’re involved in decisions about all aspects of managing the school – such as running buildings and budgets, supporting staff and setting standards of school discipline.

Governors also help to make big decisions about the school’s long-term goals. They support headteachers, but also ask questions and make sure the headteacher is taking the school in the right direction.

Governors for Schools in association with the London Borough of Redbridge’s Governor Services Team is providing a chance to hear from existing governors and to meet schools in your local area looking for new governors.

City Gates, 25-29 Clements Road, Ilford, IG1 1BH.
