Interfaith Walk of Peace - Redbridge Faith Forum

Redbridge Faith Forum is hosting its first in-person event of 2021!

A Walk of Peace will take place on the afternoon of Sunday 19th September.

The theme this year is “Faith, Climate, Emergency and Water”.

Please join at one of the following faith venues where you will be warmly welcomed and can hear about how to care for creation. Feel free to join or leave the walk at any stage.

  • 12.45pm: Assemble at the Holocaust Memorial Garden, Valentines Park (Cranbrook Road Entrance), Ilford, IG1 4TG
  • 1:00pm: Input from the Jewish community Rabbi Tali Artman
  • 1:35pm: Arrive at the Buddhist Vihara at 9 Balfour Road, IG1 4HP – please remove shoes if entering the prayer room
  • 1:45pm: Input from the Buddhist Community
  • 2:25pm: Arrive at the Hindu Temple, 43 Cleveland Road, IG1 1EE – olease remove shoes when entering the temple
  • 2:35pm: Input from Hindu Community
  • 2:50pm: Arrive at Ilford Islamic Community Centre, 52 Albert Road, IG1 1HW – please remove shoes when entering the mosque
  • 2:55pm: Input from Muslim Community
  • 3:35pm: Arrive at St Mary the Virgin Church, 426 High Road, IG1 1TW
  • 4:05pm: Arrive at Karamsar Gurdawara, 400 High Road IG1 1TW – please remove shoes and wear head coverings, to be supplied where necessary.

All are invited to stay on for a vegetarian meal (Langar) at the Gurdwara.
