National Referral Mechanism - London Safeguarding Partnership

Thursday, 6 October, 2022 - 14:00 to 15:30

The London Safeguarding Children Partnership is delivering a series of multi-agency safeguarding webinars.

The first half of this session will provide general information about the National Referral Mechanism including what it is, who it’s for and how the process works both internally and externally to the Police. The second half will involve a case study of a successful NRM referral and subsequent police prosecution.

Participants will:

  • Be better informed on the workings of the NRM
  • Learn about the effectiveness of the NRM with a real-life case study
  • Understand how different vulnerabilities can lead to exploitation.

Trainers: DC Carla Cullinane and DC Eloise Owen - Metropolitan Police Service Modern Slavery and Child Exploitation Central (MSCE) training team.

There are 250 places available. Seven places will be prioritised per London Borough. Any additional delegates or delegates from outside London will be placed on a waiting list.
