NEW! Leading with lived experience

Tuesday, 22 March, 2022 - 10:00 to 13:00

This workshop will help you identify how lived experience of social, cultural and political issues provides invaluable knowledge that can shape social change, policy development and service delivery.

This training, delivered in partnership with Sally Carr, will help you draw on your own experiences and on case studies to develop skills and approaches integral to lived experience leadership:

“We all bring different insights and experiences to our leadership from social, cultural and political contexts that differ from one another. These add to our collective wisdom and help to shape leadership across our sector. By understanding the intersectionality of our lives, we can unlock power and influence to address the disadvantages and discrimination that impact us and the people we serve across our diverse communities”.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Appreciate the value of lived experience
  • Learn how to develop leaders with lived experience
  • Explore how lived experience can strengthen decision making, project development, service delivery and team wellbeing.

This course is particularly relevant for trustees and other voluntary sector leaders.

This training will take place via Zoom.
