Redbridge Safeguarding Children Partnership is running a free Radicalisation Awareness Workshop for organisations that work with children and young people.
The workshop covers local and national context and threats, the process of radicalisation, and factors which may contribute to an individual’s susceptibility to radicalisation. Topical examples will be used as illustrations and case studies to understand the referral process.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have:
- An awareness and understanding of the Prevent agenda and their role within it
- Increased confidence to discuss issues and concerns and how to respond to them
- The ability to use existing expertise and professional judgement to recognise potentially vulnerable individuals.
