Group of volunteers

The aim of this workshop is to understand the processes involved when recruiting volunteers and retaining them.

Most community organisations could not survive without volunteers. This course, together with the course on the previous day, helps to establish good working relationships with volunteers, to help keep their interest and commitment for longer.

What you’ll learn
  • How to design a volunteer description to get the best person for your organisation
  • How to decide if a potential volunteer is right for your organisation
  • Why you should give new volunteers an induction
  • How to regularly give support and supervision to volunteers
  • How to develop and reward your volunteers
