Understanding Peer-on-Peer Abuse

Thursday, 10 January, 2019 - 09:15 to 16:30

A growing local priority, Peer-on-peer abuse is any form of physical, sexual, emotional and financial abuse, and coercive control, exercised between children and within children's relationships.  Facilitated by the leading charity working with peer-to-peer violence and abuse, Safer London, this one-day training session will support multi-agency practitioners to:

  • Have an understanding of the nature and scale of peer-on-peer abuse and exploitation and identify emerging trends and challenges.
  • Reflect on the impact of peer on peer violence.
  • Confirm multi-agency responses and sources of referral and support to young people and their families.
