Following the surge in domestic violence throughout the pandemic, the tragic death of Sarah Everard and recent news highlighting sexual abuse in schools, we are working in partnership with the Council to host a listening exercise with local voluntary and community organisations who support and advocate for Redbridge’s women and girls. The aim of the online event is to invite these groups to share their experiences of male violence and sexual assault, and involve them in shaping plans to make our borough a safer place for women and girls.
The online event will be happening from 4-5pm on Wednesday 21 April. Places are free but must be booked in advance, and are open to staff from Redbridge voluntary and community sector organisations and groups who work with women and girls.
This is an event for women, and for non-binary people affected by male violence.
