Muslimah Sports Association (MSA) is proud to announce that its Chair, Yashmin Harun BEM, has been nominated and appointed to the Football Association Council as representative of the London Football Association.

Yashmin, also Chair of Frenford & MSA Women’s FC, has worked hard to promote inclusion in football, especially for those from South Asian backgrounds. Yashmin is a true advocate for more equality in sports, having founded MSA and Frenford & MSA WFC with the aim to get more women and girls from the local community playing sports, especially football, creating better opportunities and overcoming barriers.

Yashmin has been instrumental in increasing diversity in sports and is a member of the FA’s Asian Females in Football working party. She previously created an award-winning tailored FA level 1 coaching course, working with stakeholders including, Vision Redbridge, to train more female coaches from ethnically diverse backgrounds to act as role models.
