Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, patients have been struggling to access dentists. This is a nationwide issue that has reached the media and has been raised by local Healthwatch branches across the country.

Since April 2021, 25% of Healthwatch calls have been to raise concerns about access to dental practices and difficulties booking an appointment.

Healthwatch Redbridge is keen to understand people’s experiences of local dentist services since practices reopened on 8th June 2020, following the first lockdown.

Click here to complete a survey gathering people’s experiences of accessing dental care.

The aim is to draw upon responses to improve services locally, but the survey will also help to build a national picture of dental care. This will enable local Healthwatch branches to work with Healthwatch England to improve the quality of dental services for everyone across the country.
