These briefings from Redbridge Safeguarding Adults provide an introduction to safeguarding adults and include:

  • What is meant by the term ‘safeguarding adults’?
  • What are the different types of abuse and neglect?
  • What action should be taken if abuse of an adult at risk is suspected?

There will be time for questions and answers plus signposting to further information.

The Briefings will take place from 10:00 – 11:00am, via MS Teams on the following dates:

  • 05 January 2022
  • 09 February 2022

Briefings will be facilitated by Samira Natafgi-Roberts, Head of Safeguarding Adults and DoLS, LB Redbridge and/or members of the Safeguarding Adults Team, LB Redbridge.

These free one-hour briefings are for staff and volunteers working in agencies in any sector in Redbridge who may come into contact with adults who are at risk. This will include those in support roles and those working predominantly with children and young people.

Practitioners requiring a more in depth understanding of safeguarding adults are recommended to attend the free half day Multi-Agency Working Together to Safeguard Adults Training Programme. Email for more information on the course.

Email to book a free place on a briefing, including your name, job title, agency, telephone number and the date you wish to attend. An MS Teams invitation will then be sent to you.

If you have any queries, please contact the Redbridge Safeguarding Adult Board Manager via 020 8708 5282 or 07775 399 017.
