It's really important to be active at the moment – it helps with both your physical health and mental well-being. We've changed our Fit for Fun project so it's safe in the pandemic.
Our hugely successful Fit for Fun project offers 20 weeks of free exercise for an hour a week - you take part with a group of friends or family, or from a community group. You choose the activity, and we find you a qualified and vetted instructor - the choice includes chair-based exercise, tai chi, zumba, yoga, general keep fit, dance, exercise to music, pilates, golf and more. You choose the location, the time and day of the week. And you have fun!
We know from experience that taking part really helps improve people's health, and they want to carry on exercising as they feel better and fitter. So we'll help you carry on exercising after the 20 weeks of free sessions is over.
We've updated Fit for Fun in the light of the pandemic. You can take part in two ways:
Join in from your own home using Zoom. Everyone taking part will need internet access and a smartphone, laptop, computer or tablet.
In the park
Meet up, socially distanced, in your local park.
