Goodbye for now from Ilford Green Pop Up Market

Friday, 10 August, 2018

Ilford Pop Up Green market is taking a break after more than 2 years of activity

Ilford Transition Town are very proud to have run this monthly market and hub, originally in partnership with  Sophia Hubs, and alongside their hosts, Ilford Recycles and the Salvation Army.

The market has:

  • Given an opportunity for a free stall to over 25 local crafts/green stalls,
  • Brought in new clients and contacts for Ilford Recycles (the bike shop and servicing is still open on the 2nd Saturday)
  • Given an opportunity and platform for 15+ local people to share their skills or knowledge in informal skills shares,
  • Sold 500+ healthy meals/home-made cakes
  • And more!

For more information and a video of the final market, see their webpage.

The Pop Up Market may have gone, but Ilford Transition Town are organising Ilford Food Fest in September.
