RedbridgeCVS is looking for volunteer Employment Mentors for our Progress in Work project.
This project supports JCP benefit claimants, unemployed or working part-time, wanting to increase their hours of work or change career. The project is open to all benefit claimants but is also targeting women, BME groups, and people with health conditions.
Employment Mentors are required to provide employment focused mentoring to participants on the project. They will have a caseload of up to 5 participants, providing each one with 3 1-1, 1 hour mentoring sessions.
We are looking for people who are currently in employment or have had a career and retired. They need the following:
• A good understanding and/or experience of career progression
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal English
• To be non-judgemental
You will receive an induction, training and have the opportunity to impact the lives of a variety of local people. You will also receive a certificate on completion of your volunteer hours and be invited to an end of project celebration event.
