Redbridge Music Lounge have gained £3,500 in funding to give a minimum of 35 performances in care homes between June 2018 and May 2020.

Redbridge Music Lounge is a local not for profit music charity based in The Cranbrook Centre in Valentines Park. Their principal activity is running a weekly network music session, which is open to anyone regardless of ability, where people come to play and sing music and generally have fun. Some of their members also perform in a variety of community locations.

The funding has come from the Greater London Authority Culture Seeds fund. Culture Seeds is part of the Mayor of London’s draft Strategy for Culture,  The new grants will be used to support community led cultural projects in every London borough. The grant is administered by Groundworks UK and process for applying is completing an on line questionnaire which is straightforward and not very challenging.  You will need to provide a couple of referees who can vouch for your organisation.  Groundworks staff are friendly and supportive through out the application process.
