National Probation Service London (NPS) BAME Organisation Survey

Friday, 12 March, 2021

BTEG (Black Training and Enterprise Group) has been commissioned by the National Probation Service London (NPS) to support their plans to improve their relationship with BAME-led organisations particularly in relation to commissioning contracts.

NPS is committed to developing a productive and supportive relationship with a network of London based black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) voluntary and community sector organisations and recognises the structural challenges facing small BAME-led service providers in securing contracts.

There is a renewed determination to ensure its BAME service users to have access to an ethnically diverse range of appropriate specialist services.

Survey for BAME-led charitable organisations:

BTEG is asking BAME-led (non-white) voluntary and charitable organisations to complete a short survey to enable us to develop an organisational map of BAME providers for NPS.

The information provided in the survey aims to:

  • Allow for more easy identification of BAME organisations in London
  • Lead to more commissions for BAME-led organization in the future.
  • Identify BAME-led organisational development needs.

The data collected will inform the creation of an NPS BAME organisation commissioning map and identify key organisational support needs.

About the survey

The survey will be live until Friday 26th March, 12.00pm and will take just 15-20 minutes to complete. It will ask about:

  • Your organisation
  • Experience with working in the criminal justice sector
  • Any organisational development needs you currently have.
