On the 16 February the Building Strong Communities mission launched the Civil Society Roots fund. The programme will distribute £1 million to civil society organisations across 10 boroughs, including Redbridge. The programme is funded by the Greater London Authority, City Bridge Trust, and the National Lottery Community Fund.

Civil Society Roots 3 aims to fund and support place-based organisations that are led by and for communities impacted by structural inequalities, including:

  • Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Londoners
  • Disabled Londoners
  • LGBT+ Londoners
  • Women
  • Older Londoners.

Ideas Camp sessions are being run to support organisations interested in the programme with progressing ideas and include support with applying to the fund. All potential applicants are encouraged to attend one of these sessions.

The sessions are taking place between 9 and 24 February. Click here to register.
