Nominations open for voluntary sector representatives

Friday, 22 October, 2021

Redbridge Public and Voluntary Sectors’ Partnership (PaVSP) is seeking voluntary sector leaders to work collaboratively with public sector partners to co-design solutions to shared issues in Redbridge.

What is the PaVSP?

The PaVSP provides a space for collaboration between public sector organisations and voluntary and community groups in Redbridge. Representatives from across sectors work in partnership to identify and explore shared challenges, and to co-design solutions to ensure best outcomes for the borough’s residents. For more information about the aims and objectives of the PaVSP please download the nomination pack below.

What is the role of a voluntary sector representative?

Voluntary sector representatives play an important role in representing and amplifying the voice of communities. The central purpose of the role is to share insight, expertise and best practice, and to participate in collaborative problem-solving.

Voluntary sector representatives are expected to put forward the views and interests of the voluntary and community sector as a whole, not just those of their own organisations. Representatives must be willing and able to play an active role in ensuring two-way engagement between the PaVSP and the wider voluntary sector. For more information about the role and responsibilities of voluntary sector representatives please download the nomination pack below.

Who should we nominate?

Ideally nominees should be someone within your organisation with strategic oversight and decision making responsibility. This could, for example, be your CEO or a member of your leadership team. Nominations from trustees may be considered in exceptional circumstances, for example, if your organisation is a small charity or community group with limited capacity.

What’s the election process?

To nominate a voluntary sector representative from your organisation please complete the PaVSP Nomination Form below and return it by email no later than Friday 5 November 2021.

There are 10 roles in total 5 voluntary sector representatives and 5 substitutes. Nominations will be put to a vote by RedbridgeCVS members.
