Participate in pilot to improve funding for local youth organisations

While 62% of London’s population of young people aged 0-11 live in outer boroughs, many local youth organisations are having to play catch up with larger charities because they are not being offered the same level of support. Redbridge is one such area where community youth organisations require additional support due to funding ‘cold spots’.

London Youth is working with City Bridge Trust to address this issue by launching a pilot project to investigate barriers to funding and explore possible solutions.

The pilot aims to:

  • Determine barriers faced by small youth organisations in Redbridge when accessing funding, training and support
  • Connect small youth organisations in Redbridge with London based funders and help create appropriate and accessible funding streams
  • Tailor start up support for small and nascent youth organisations within Redbridge, including training and bespoke resources
  • Develop London Youth’s offer to better meet the needs of outer London organisations and the wider local youth sector.

If you would like to take part, please complete the survey here.

Feel free to email Lee Ritchie if you would like to discuss the project further.
