There are a number of resources and services that are currently available through a few different organisations to support those experiencing anxiety and loneliness during this difficult period. Some of the following might be useful if you are experiencing a tough time at present and need some support:
North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT) - NELFT are offering therapy online, either by telephone or video call. They also have individual support, groups and weekly online webinars covering a wide range of topics. These can help you look after your mental wellbeing, emotionally supporting people in self-isolation, maintaining activity levels while at home by focusing on how to manage anxiety and uncertainty during this pandemic.
Age UK ‘Forget Me Not" – Telephone befriending for older and socially isolated residents.
Silver Line – They have a 24-hour help line service and telephone befriending service. Referrals can be made online too through their website, but it may be a faster process if the clients call them as they will do their assessment at the same time. St Francis Hospice ‘Orange Line’ – Regular telephone calls for people of all ages who may be bereaved, feeling isolated or lonely.
