Media coverage of charities sometimes highlights the fact that some senior staff of some large organisations receive generous pay. It’s important to put that in context – there are very few large charities, and lots more small voluntary groups where paid staff have much lower incomes. And, of course, most community groups depend on volunteers, who aren’t paid at all.
Small Charities Coalition are doing a survey of the pay of senior staff which should help provide evidence of wage levels in the sector. Please help undermine misconceptions by completing it for your organisation.
