It’s Volunteers’ Week from the 1st -7th of June and it is time to say thanks to the amazing Volunteers of Redbridge, and we are celebrating in a number of ways. Check out these three events!
Event 1: Voluntary Sector Network - Volunteers Week (Wednesday 2nd June, 10:00-11:00)
On Wednesday 2nd June, 10:00-11:00 our Voluntary sector network meeting will be dedicated to recognising and celebrating volunteering across the borough. We will be announcing the winner of our Volunteers’ Week photo competition and hearing some inspirational stories of how volunteers have made such a difference over this last year. All are invited, so invite your volunteers and join us to say THANK YOU! You can join the meeting on Teams here.
Event 2: Introduction to Volunteer Management (Thursday, 3 June, 2021 - 13:30 to 16:00)
And there is also an invite for those involved in manging volunteers to attend a free Introduction to Volunteer Management training course on Thursday, 3 June, 2021 - 13:30 to 16:00.
This is a special event put on for Volunteers’ week. It will benefit staff with little experience of volunteer management as well as those who are more experienced but would like to refresh their knowledge.
It will be ideal for staff for whom volunteer management is supplemental to their main role and something they have had to embrace during the pandemic.
It is open to all, including those in the public sector and those who are not RedbridgeCVS members. Book your free place today here.
Event 3: Training: Supporting & managing volunteers successfully (Monday, 7 June, 2021 - 09:45 to 12:30)
If you can’t make Thursday… why not join us on the last day of Volunteers’ Week on our Supporting & managing volunteers successfully training. Monday, 7 June, 2021 - 09:45 to 12:30.
We will also be celebrating Volunteers’ Week all week on Twitter. Remember to follow us @redbridgecvs and use #RedbridgeVolunteers. Let us know how amazing your volunteers are and we will tweet them a message of thanks!
