Skills Mentor for people with Learning Disabilities- Three C's

Three Cs is a charity that supports people with learning disabilities and/or mental health challenges to live life to the full and be valued by their communities. The 'Cs' in Three Cs stand for control, choice and Community because we believe that people we support should have control over and choice about their lives so that they can achieve their dreams and goals and have the opportunity to contribute to their community as equal citizens.

Role description: 

Are you interested in sharing your skills to enable people with learning disabilities living in Redbridge or the surrounding areas to increase their independence and become more actively involved in their community?
In your volunteering you would support people on a one to one basis or in a small group setting up to learn and develop the skill you have chosen to share.  We are looking for people to share a wide variety of skills ranging from practical everyday living such as knitting or baking cakes to interview techniques and presentation skills.  Whatever you can offer we would be interested to hear from you!
By volunteering you have the chance to contribute positively to the lives of people with learning disabilities, develop new skills, meet new people and have fun! it can also make a good first step towards a career in social care and community based services.
