The Employment and Skills Team works with a wide range of other voluntary sector groups, using their skills and contacts with different communities to help local people find work.
We are currently delivering a project called Create Your Future, and are planning to work on more projects in the future.
RedbridgeCVS Employment & Skills Team (EaST) works in partnership with employment and skills providers, from the voluntary sector. Originally known as “East Tenders”, the project was set up by RedbridgeCVS on behalf of the East London CVS Network in 2008 to lead on partnership tenders for skills and employment contracts. This enabled voluntary sector providers to be involved in the delivery of large scale employment and skills contracts through partnership working. This partnership successfully delivered the (DWP) Future Jobs Fund and the (ESF/London Councils) Stepping Stones project for parents.
Between 2010 and 2016 RedbridgeCVS’s Employment & Skills Team successfully delivered 10 projects funded through ESF, SFA, London Councils, local authority and DWP in partnership with organisations from a variety of sectors, working across seven London boroughs.
