The London Safeguarding Children Partnership is delivering a series of multi-agency safeguarding webinars. This webinar will help you to gain a basic knowledge of the current clinical approaches to assess parent-infant relationships.

You will:

  • Increase your understanding of “infant literacy”
  • Gain a basic knowledge of the current clinical approaches to assess parent-infant relationships
  • Learn about the basic principles of attachment theory
  • Gain a basic knowledge of the determinants of a sensitive parent-infant interaction and its implications for infant development
  • Assess “risks” in the context of parent-infant relationships

Trainers: Dr Maddalena Miele, DPhil Consultant in Perinatal Psychiatry at St Mary’s Hospital, CNWL Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

There are 50 places available. One to two places will be prioritised per London Borough. Any additional delegates or delegates from outside London will be placed on a waiting list.
