TB Awareness Project

RedbridgeCVS has been commissioned by the Public Health department of Redbridge Council to implement a TB Awareness Project in Redbridge starting from October 2013. The main objective of the project is to raise awareness about TB amongst communities who are at high risk of TB through a team of community leaders who will be called "Health Buddies".

As part of the TB Awareness Project, RedbridgeCVS has also formed and hosts a TB Partnership Group in Redbridge which meets on a quarterly basis. The Partnership group includes representation from London Borough of Redbridge (public health, housing), TB Alert, Redbridge Clinical Commissioning Group, Barking Havering and Redbridge University Trust, Public Health England, voluntary groups and patients.
